St. George Surgical Center (SGSC) is the first health outpatient surgery facility in the state of Utah to acquire the NAVIO™ robotics-assisted surgical system. NAVIO™ helps our board-certified, fellowship trained, robotics-qualified surgeons perform robotics-assisted total and partial knee replacement on patients.
SGSC welcomes patients covered by traditional Medicare, some commercial and employer-sponsored health benefit programs, workers compensation patients, those who injured their knees in auto accidents or other injuries, and who suffer from knee pain.
SGSC also welcomes cash paying patients offering a fully-bundled, transparently shoppable, “no surprise bills” price (in accordance with the most recent presidential Executive Order 13813) of $14,990 that includes: surgeon fee, anesthesia and facility fees; the implant that the surgeon feels is the best solution for the patient, and even an overnight stay if medically necessary. Medicare patients for whom knee replacement is medically necessary and have traditional Medicare and a co-insurance such as AARP may have their surgery fully covered at SGSC as an outpatient as of January 1, 2020.
We are proud to collaborate with Drs. Michael Manning and Gregory Hicken to offer patients robotics technology that is state-of-the-art and currently unavailable elsewhere in the state from Mesquite to the Idaho border. Robotics-assisted technology has advanced the field of orthopedic surgery by helping surgeons perform total knee replacement procedures with more accuracy and precision. Surgeons can also select the implant that is best suited for their patient from an array of options. The other robotics system in the area is quite limited to a single implant and only offers total replacement even if one’s knee doesn’t require a total replacement.
