St. George, August 2019 – 1979 welcomed the snowboard, bungee jumping, the Sony Walkman and the opening of the first St. George Pizza Factory, downtown in historic Ancestor Square.
40 years later, the original restaurant has had multiple expansions and remodels; including last year’s remodel to the upstairs to better accommodate large groups and parties. There are now three Pizza Factories in St. George, the downtown location, on the east side near the Stadium 10 theaters, as well as the west side location in the Lin’s shopping center.
Many of the city’s youth had their first work experience as an employee at a Pizza Factory and some of these employee’s children have gone on to work for The Pizza Factory as well. “I am so grateful for the many wonderful young people that I have associated with and who have become such great assets in their communities and businesses, including my partners in the additional restaurants,” stated Bill Randall, founder and owner of The St. George Pizza Factory.
St. George Pizza Factories are celebrating this 40th anniversary on August 28th by offering a 40% off coupon for the day, valid at all St. George locations. To receive the coupon, sign up to be a Factory Fan on https://stgeorgepizzafactory.com/40-percent-off-40th-anniversary/. Randall goes on to say, “We’re here because we love southern Utah and the people. We want to continue to provide a great place and environment where our guests can come and enjoy lunch and dinner. Our emphasis has always been on quality. We choose to use the best ingredients, from our cheeses, tomato products, to our meats and fresh produce, along with our own developed recipes. That’s what our customers like and I guess that’s why we are still around after all these years. All the things that have contributed to our past success we are committed to carry forward for many years to come.”
