St. George, UT— The Dixie Foundation Board announced that after 12 years at the helm, Randy Wilkinson has stepped down as president of the Dixie Foundation board. Wilkinson was recently called to serve as the president of the St. George Temple. Under Randy’s leadership the Foundation has been able to raise funds for needs based scholarships that have benefited hundreds of students who otherwise would not be able to attend Dixie State University. The board announced that C. Jeffery Morby would serve as the new president of the Dixie Foundation board beginning immediately.
The Dixie Foundation is a non-profit organization with its primary purpose to support education. Since its inception, the Foundation has helped hundreds of students by offering scholarships to Dixie State University students. Funding for these scholarships comes through an annual Fire & Ice Gala and other fund raising activities. The Fire & Ice Gala holds silent and live auctions and through these auction items, the Foundation is able to bless the lives of hundreds of students that are in critical need of an education and funding for that education. All proceeds from Fire & Ice go to need-based scholarships for Dixie State University students. The Foundation also actively seeks donations, charitable remainder trusts, and life insurance arrangements with numerous individuals and businesses. As a result of these efforts the foundation has helped to acquire land facilitating the growth of the University campus.
Some of the benefits to Dixie State from the Foundation include acquiring most of the land where the Burns Arena and the Solar Stadium presently sit. The Foundation helped acquire the Old Harmons property, the old LDS Institute building, the Dahle Plaza property, the Larkin property, and the East Elementary property for the University. The Foundation was a major contributor of funds that enabled the University to obtain “four year” status, by contributing significant funds for the development of the “Encampment Mall”, the “Clock Tower Plaza”, and the Holland Center.
Rod Savage and Brock Belnap will continue to serve as Vice Presidents of the Dixie Foundation and Kalynn Larson will continue as the board’s Secretary and Treasurer.

Morby is president and owner of Holiday Resort Realty & Development. He is a past president of the Washington County Board of Realtors, former board member of Heritage Bank for 20 years, former president of the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce and the St. George Rotary Club. Morby has been instrumental in many real estate developments throughout Washington County. He and his wife recently served over the Oregon Portland Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Holiday Resort Realty & Development has also managed local water companies for the past 35 years.
